Job summary

The City of Lake Worth Beach is seeking a Distribution Engineer to design Overhead and Underground Residential Distribution (URD) facilities and support distribution upgrades.

Under the supervision of the Distribution Engineering Manager (DEM), the Electrical Distribution Engineer will help improve reliability and participate in capital project definition, including design, commissioning, and implementation processes, with knowledge of digital modeling and system improvement.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field preferred
• Five or more years of successful experience in Electrical Distribution Systems
• Must have a valid automobile Driver’s License

Responsibilities

• Participates in onsite Distribution Design of Overhead and Underground Electric Distribution projects, project deliverables and activities
• Provides technical assistance to the Distribution Department as required
• Develops project objectives and plans conferring with management using Microsoft project and excel
• Under the supervision of the DEM completes technical distribution projects
• Designing, implementing, and/or maintaining digital distribution equipment in coordination with protection and control group
