Job summary
City of Lake Worth Beach invites qualified individuals to apply for the position of Electrical Distribution Engineer. This full-time, exempt role is based at the Electric Utility Building in Lake Worth Beach, FL, and focuses on designing Overhead and Underground Residential Distribution to improve system reliability.
Under the Distribution Engineering Manager, you will collaborate with Transmission & Distribution, System Operations, and other departments, participate in capital project
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or related field preferred.
- Five or more years of experience in Electrical Distribution Systems.
- Must have a valid automobile Driver’s License.
- Experience in Electric Utility T&D is desirable.
Responsibilities
- Participates in onsite Distribution Design of Overhead and Underground Electric Distribution projects.
- Provides technical assistance to the Distribution Department as required.
- Develops project objectives and plans using Microsoft Project and Excel.
- Completes technical distribution projects under supervision of the DEM.
- Designs, implements, and maintains digital distribution equipment in coordination with protection and control.
- Attends meetings with management and contractors.
