The CAD Drafter is responsible for creating and maintaining distribution standards, drawings, and technical documents that support the engineering design and construction of the electric distribution system. Develops drawings ranging from standard to complex and ensures all documentation ensures line personnel safety while advancing system reliability and resiliency.
Key Internal: DEO, REO, DCC, SPP, ECPM, ADI.
Contractors, Customers, and Vendors.
Required: Associate’s degree in Computer Design (CAD) or Equivalent CAD Drafting Certification
Preferred: Associate’s degree in Engineering Technology
Required: 3 years of experience using standard computer drafting tools (i.e. AutoCAD or MicroStation).
Required: AutoCAD and/or MicroStation
Preferred: MicroStation Bentley Software Suite
Normal office environment and possible travel within the Tampa Electric Service Area.
Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
