Job summary

General Motors Company seeks an Electrical Diagnostician to support the Global Artisan Innovation Center (GAIC) in achieving strong Electrical First Time Quality. You will diagnose electrical issues during new program launches, drive solutions, and document actions across EOL test systems to improve EFTQ.

You will document failures, mentor repair team members, and provide status updates to program management while coordinating with launch managers to ensure readiness for VIP/SDV programs.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience with automotive electrical systems, diagnostics, or EOL testing.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting electrical faults using diagnostic tools like GDS2/MDI.
• Experience supporting program management activities (readiness reviews, build events, or issue tracking).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication abilities.
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and capable of making decisions.

Responsibilities

• Support new program launches by diagnosing electrical issues and validating fixes across build events.
• Lead or assist EFTQ improvements by analyzing EOL test results and documenting actions.
• Document failures and containment actions using GSIP, MERS, PRTS, SPPS systems.
• Collaborate with Electrical IRT, GCA, and repair teams to close issues and ensure launch readiness.
• Provide daily/weekly EFTQ performance updates and share top electrical concerns.
