Job summary

ENFRA Solutions is seeking an Electrical Designer III in Tempe, AZ. You will perform technical design and studies under a licensed engineer, guiding BIM/CAD staff and ensuring on-time, within-budget project delivery.

Qualifications include 2-year electrical degree or higher, 7–10 years as an electrician or designer, and proficiency in Revit/AutoCAD with MS Office. Travel and collaboration across disciplines are expected.

Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or associate in electrical field or related coursework.
• 4–10 years as electrical designer for an engineering firm, OR
• 5–10 years experience with Master/Journeyman license.
• 7–10 years experience as an electrician for an electrical contractor.
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word/Excel), Revit and AutoCAD.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail oriented; able to handle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Well versed in the industry and competitors.
• Excellent multitasking skills; able to work beyond scope when needed.

Responsibilities

• Designs and prepares electrical system drawings for building projects, under supervision of a licensed engineer.
• Writes and edits electrical system specifications for building projects.
• Attends meetings with owners, clients and architects as needed.
• Prepares and distributes meeting notes.
• Conducts site surveys to determine conditions and proposed changes.
• Monitors construction progress to ensure conformance to design and codes.
• Prepares punch lists and project observation reports.
• Prepares PRs/SIs and responds to RFIs.
• Reviews submittals for compliance with drawings and specs.
• Coordinates with architectural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, structural disciplines.
• Mentors BIM/CAD Technicians and Electrical Designers.
• Performs energy calculations.
• Manages small electrical design projects.
• Assists PM with budgets, cost estimates, schedules, contracts, and billing.
• Participates in establishing electrical design standards and industry events.
