Job summary

Henderson Engineers is seeking a Designer II to design intermediate building systems, prepare design documents, and coordinate with project teams. You’ll mentor junior designers and assist in project delivery while staying current with industry software and Henderson's guidelines.

Responsibilities include drafting, layout preparation, shop drawing reviews, and client interactions to ensure scope and quality. A Bachelor’s in engineering and 3 years of experience are required, with FE preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant field and 3 years of experience or 6 years with high school diploma/eqv.
• Completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam preferred.
• Proficiency in engineering design software and standards; Revit and Bluebeam Revu required.

Responsibilities

• Design intermediate building systems and prepare design documents.
• Prepare layouts, drawings, and schematics; review shop drawings.
• Coordinate with project teams and mentor less experienced designers.
• Support business development and client relationship activities.
• Maintain knowledge of industry software and Henderson's design guidelines.
• Assist in project coordination and delivery under supervision.
