Actalent in Lawrence, KS is seeking an Electrical Designer to design power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems for building projects. You will perform field surveys, support construction, and collaborate with a small, close-knit engineering team across multiple states.

The role requires EIT/EI certification and at least 2 years of electrical design experience, with proficiency in Revit for electrical design and documentation.

Qualifications

• EIT or EI certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution systems with riser diagrams and panel schedules.
• Create low-voltage infrastructure designs for IT and security systems.
• Develop lighting designs, fixture selection, controls, and calculations.
• Design low-voltage systems such as fire alarm and security.
• Calculate loads, fault current, and voltage drop for safe operation.
• Perform field surveys and verify design requirements.
• Provide construction phase support and resolve contractor questions.
• Collaborate with project teams and other disciplines.
• Maintain accurate design documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
