Job summary

Harriman is seeking a licensed Electrical Designer to join our collaborative team. You will work with senior engineers to learn all facets of electrical design and apply code requirements to proposed project plans.

Responsibilities include performing calculations, selecting equipment, and advancing small projects with review by a licensed engineer while coordinating with project staff to ensure timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering; 2 years minimum is preferred.
• Familiar with engineering project structures and elements.
• Proficient with tools to achieve project completion (software, references, calculations).
• Able to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Proficient with Revit and PDF editing software such as Adobe or Bluebeam.
• Capable of performing complex calculations with additional software as needed.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Work under the supervision of a licensed engineer to learn electrical design.
• Perform tasks with increasing independence, including calculations and equipment selection.
• Take on small projects or portions of larger projects with minimal instruction.
• Complete projects with guidance and review by a licensed engineer.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager, Project Assistant, and engineers to finish all project phases.
• Visit existing structures to determine applicable conditions.
