Giga is seeking an Electrical Designer to architect and document power systems for data center and generator projects. You’ll lead from load lists to buildable design packages, coordinating AutoCAD and Revit work, and owning drawings end‑to‑end in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.

You’ll work with senior engineers to design medium- and low‑voltage systems, follow NEC/NFPA standards, and support permitting and interconnections.

Qualificações

• 5+ years of electrical design experience on industrial, utility, power generation, data center, or heavy commercial facilities.
• Advanced AutoCAD skills with deep production design capability.
• Ability to read, navigate, and coordinate within Revit models for multi-discipline clash detection.
• Experience taking designs from concept through IFC with ownership of drawing packages.
• Familiarity with NEC/NFPA 70 and related electrical design standards.
• Strong grounding in medium- and low-voltage distribution systems.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace and document control tools like Forma and Bluebeam.
• Strong written and verbal communication; capable of cross-functional collaboration.
• Willingness to travel to project sites and fabrication facilities.

Responsabilidades

• Produce the electrical design package for data center and power generation sites: single-line diagrams, equipment layouts, grounding and protection plans, raceway and cable routing.
• Develop electrical site plans, ductbank and trench layouts, and associated schedules.
• Coordinate with the federated Revit model in 3D to detect clashes across disciplines.
• Develop and maintain medium-voltage distribution design from utility source through switchgear and transformers.
• Build and maintain AutoCAD drawings to Giga standards with revision control.
• Support electrical design calculations including conductor sizing, voltage drop, and ampacity.
• Route and size power, control, and instrumentation cabling between equipment and loads.
• Design to NEC/NFPA 70, 70E, 855, IEEE, NESC and AHJ requirements.
• Review vendor submittals and verify conformance with layouts.
• Support permitting and interconnection by producing required drawings and exhibits.
• Issue drawings via Forma and Bluebeam reviews and address reviewer comments.
• Assist Procurement with BOMs and equipment schedules.
• Field-verify conditions, incorporate redlines, and produce as-built drawings.
• Respond to RFIs with clear directions and site visits when needed.
• Collaborate with Electrical Engineer from concept to IFC with minimal supervision.
• Contribute to design standards, templates, and libraries for faster future projects.
• Support constructability and cost reviews by flagging schedule/price impacts.
