Job summary

Gilder Search Group seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to design electrical power systems for modular data centers in Denver, CO. The role centers on modular power distribution, generators, UPS systems, and switchgear, with leadership across engineering, manufacturing, and field teams.

You will develop and review construction documents, operate in a fast-paced environment, and ensure code-compliant, reliable designs using AutoCAD and Revit. A PE is a plus; US citizenship is required.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or equivalent technical field.
Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
7–10+ years in critical power systems, modular data centers, or large-scale electrical infrastructure.
U.S. Citizen.
Experience with UPS, generators, batteries, switchgear, switchboards, PDU, back-up power.
Deep understanding of power distribution design, protection, and load flow.
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit (MEP).
Ability to lead cross-functional teams (engineering, manufacturing, field).
Strong knowledge of electrical codes: NEC, NFPA 70/70E, IEEE, UL.

Responsibilities

Create designs and plans for modular data center projects across enterprise, colocation, and hyperscale clients.
Develop conceptual designs from client meetings for field focus.
Respond to RFPs; review shop drawings and RFIs.
Set project objectives and standards within company policies.
Lead project meetings and coordinate with design staff and trades.
Prepare construction documents and project specifications; oversee construction administration.
Develop electrical distribution layouts and equipment sizing.
