Job summary

Giga Energy Inc. is seeking an Electrical Designer to create complete power system packages for data center and power generation projects. You will work with engineers to develop load lists, one-lines, and equipment layouts in AutoCAD, while coordinating in 3D with Revit.

You will be based in a hub with onsite work and occasional WFH Fridays, bringing deep knowledge of NEC/NFPA 70 and medium- to low-voltage systems. Strong documentation and cross-discipline collaboration are essential.

Qualifications

5+ years of electrical design experience on industrial, utility, data center, or heavy commercial projects.
Advanced AutoCAD skills as the primary design tool.
Ability to read, navigate, and coordinate within Revit models.
Proven experience taking a design from concept through IFC.
Familiarity with NEC/NFPA 70 and applicable standards.
Strong knowledge of medium- and low-voltage distribution.

Responsibilities

Produce electrical design packages for data centers and power generation sites, including diagrams and schedules.
Develop site plans, ductbank layouts, conduit routing, and equipment pads.
Coordinate the design against a federated Revit model to catch clashes in 3D.
Maintain AutoCAD drawings to company standards and revision control.
Support electrical calculations: conductor sizing, voltage drop, ampacity, and derating.
Assist with permitting and utility interconnection submittals.
