Job summary

ISG seeks an Electrical Designer in Bloomington, MN to design electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional projects, aligning with codes and standards. You’ll collaborate with architects, engineers, and ISGers to deliver high-quality, efficient designs.

As an Employee Owner, you will develop drawings using AutoCAD and Revit, perform load calculations, coordinate with disciplines, and assist with cost estimates while contributing to ESOP and profit sharing.

Qualifications

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience in electrical design within the AEC industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Develop electrical design drawings and specifications using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Design power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
• Perform load calculations, circuiting, and equipment selection.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to ensure integrated design solutions.
• Review and apply relevant codes and standards.
• Assist in preparing cost estimates and material take-offs.
• Participate in site visits and field investigations to verify existing conditions.
• Support construction administration by responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.
