Job summary

Insight Global seeks an Electrical Designer for its Tampa, FL operation to draft wiring diagrams and layout drawings for construction projects, using CAD tools and manual methods. You will verify conformance to codes and customer specs, with 60% office and 40% field work.

The role requires 1–2 years of electrical engineering experience, an engineering degree (prefer Electrical), and familiarity with AutoCAD and Blue Beam to support project design and client communications.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of electrical engineering experience
• Engineering degree (Electrical preferred)
• Experience in service area work
• Comfortable talking with customers/clients
• Knowledge of electrical distribution design for overhead and underground
• Proficiency with AutoCAD
• Experience with Blue Beam

Responsibilities

• Drafts detailed drawings, such as wiring diagrams and layout drawings for construction projects
• Evaluates design work to verify conformance to industry codes and customer specifications
• Some field work; not daily, on project basis
• 60% office 40% field
• Work with supervisory team to design projects
