Tampa Electric Company in Florida is seeking a CAD Drafter to create and maintain distribution standards, drawings, and technical documents supporting the engineering design of the electric distribution system. You will develop drawings ranging from standard to complex while ensuring safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Required: Associate's degree in Computer Design (CAD) or equivalent CAD drafting certification.
• Preferred: Associate's degree in Engineering Technology.
• Required: 3 years of experience using standard computer drafting tools (AutoCAD or MicroStation).

Responsibilities

• Apply advanced drafting skills to create, revise, maintain, and archive standards and drawings.
• Review redlined and marked-up documents to update drawings and standards in a timely manner.
• Ensure construction designs comply with all applicable codes, including NESC.
• Meet deadlines from the Standards & Strategy Council and other required forums.
