Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical design and drafting experience in construction.
• Proficiency with CAD software for electrical drafting.
• Strong knowledge of NEC and applicable standards.
• Experience designing for high performance buildings.
• Ability to integrate electrical with plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Strong mathematical and analytical skills for calculations.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Electrical Engineering or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design and draft electrical systems for industrial and commercial buildings, including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, and security systems.
• Perform complex electrical calculations such as load balancing, voltage drop, and sub-bank calculations.
• Design and specify electrical conduits, wiring, and components per NEC.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other team members to integrate electrical systems into building design.
• Review and revise designs to ensure accuracy and compliance with requirements and standards.
• Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure proper installation and operation of electrical systems.
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting during construction and post-occupancy phases.
• Keep knowledge current on new technologies and industry trends for cutting-edge, sustainable designs.
