Job summary

JLRD, Inc. in West Palm Beach, FL, seeks an Electrical Designer to own electrical design scopes from concept to construction documents, coordinating with other disciplines to deliver high-quality plans.

This is a designer-track role requiring Revit MEP and AutoCAD proficiency, with NEC/FBCode knowledge and experience on healthcare, education, and commercial projects. On-site position in Florida with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or related field; equivalent experience considered.
• 3–5 years electrical design experience for building systems in an MEP consulting environment.
• Proficiency with Revit MEP and AutoCAD; strong understanding of electrical drawing conventions.

Responsibilities

• Own assigned electrical design scopes from concept through construction documents.
• Produce Revit MEP models and construction documents, including lighting and power plans and panel schedules.
• Perform load calculations, panel sizing, and circuit sizing under supervision.
• Coordinate with Mechanical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection designers on system layouts.
• Identify drawing conflicts and resolve or propose solutions; support clash detection and coordination reviews.
