Job summary

Ghafari Associates is seeking a Summer 2027 New Graduate Electrical Designer D2 to help design electrical systems for lighting, power, and low voltage applications. You will support CAD drafting tasks in Revit and AutoCAD and collaborate with architects and engineers during design development.

The role emphasizes field measurements, data gathering, and adherence to codes and standards. Ideal candidates hold a BS in Engineering and have internship experience in building design, with EIT preferred

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Prior internship in the building design consulting industry preferred.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering knowledge to design electrical systems for lighting, power, and low voltage components.
• Create construction documents using CAD tools (Revit/AutoCAD).
• Review submittals for conformance with contract documents.
• Conduct field measurements and site inspections to verify conditions.
• Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders during design.
