Job summary

Ghafari Associates invites energetic new graduates for Summer 2027 opportunities in our Chicago office as Electrical Designer D2. Under supervision, you will apply electrical analysis, design and drafting skills to develop design documents for lighting, power, and low voltage systems, while coordinating with building and process systems.

You will produce construction documents using CAD tools (Revit/AutoCAD), perform field measurements, and collaborate with architects and engineers to deliver

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering.
• Engineer in Training (EIT) license preferred.
• Internship experience in building design consulting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Apply engineering knowledge to design and analyze electrical systems for building projects.
• Create and coordinate construction documents using CAD tools (Revit/AutoCAD).
• Review submittals for conformance and perform field measurements to verify conditions.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers and stakeholders to ensure well-coordinated designs.
• Maintain organized project files and update project specifications as needed.
