Job summary

Ghafari Associates seeks an Electrical Designer to contribute to lighting, power, and low-voltage system design for new construction and renovations across multiple sectors. You will develop construction documents and work under supervision with senior staff to ensure code compliance and project goals.

The ideal candidate has an Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering, 3+ years of experience, and proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Bachelor’s degree preferred
• LEED accredited professional qualification preferred
• 3+ years of experience in electrical engineering field
• Experience with short-circuit analysis and coordination (e.g. SKM, ETAP or EasyPower) preferred
• Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification from any of the 50 states

Responsibilities

• Design lighting, power distribution, low voltage systems and coordination with other disciplines for construction documents
• Prepare feasibility studies and schematic design packages
• Provide electrical analysis and drafting for architectural, electrical and mechanical components
• Review submittals for conformance with contract documents; respond to RFIs
• Maintain organized project files and assist with project specifications drafting
