Job summary

Ghafari Associates seeks a Summer 2027 New Graduate Electrical Designer D2 in Dearborn, MI to support electrical design for lighting, power, and low-voltage systems. You'll collaborate with architects and engineers, perform CAD drafting, and help prepare integrated construction documents.

Qualifications

BS in Engineering required; internship in building design preferred.
EIT license preferred.
Proficiency with CAD tools and building systems is expected.

Responsibilities

Apply electrical design knowledge to develop drawings for lighting, power, and low voltage systems.
Create CAD drawings using Revit and AutoCAD; support senior staff.
Produce construction documents compliant with codes and standards.
Coordinate with project team to resolve design and document coordination challenges.
Update project specs and maintain organized project files in Forma.
Review submittals for conformance with contract documents and design intent.
Conduct field measurements and site inspections to verify conditions.
Assist with additional duties to support project goals.
