Job Description

The job also requires making wiring diagrams from schematic diagrams and vice-versa. Responsibilities include designing line replaceable unit (LRU) chassis and housing, selecting LRU/wiring harness components such as electrical connectors, electrical accessories, wire, shielding, shield terminators, and terminal lugs. You will produce schematic diagrams and/or CAD drawings for submission to customers, plant operations, or outside vendors to produce the specified LRU/wiring harnesses and cable assemblies. The output must be able to be entered directly into data management configuration control.

Essential Skills

• Experience with electrical/electronic systems of military ground vehicles.
• Ability to complete designs from concept development to validation.
• Utilize advanced modeling and analysis tools.
• Expert knowledge of CAD drafting/modeling and design techniques.
• Experience in designing wiring harnesses/cable assemblies.
• Proficient in routing and developing wiring harness/cable assembly drawings.
• Minimum 2 years experience with Creo Pro-Cable.
• Understanding of MIL-STD-100, ANSI Y14.5/14.41, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
• Knowledge of wire routing using Logical Data from Siemens Capital Harness.
• Working knowledge of military electrical connector and cabling specifications.
• Ability to create wiring harness schematics with Visio Technical.
• Strong cooperative team working skills and communication skills.

• Proficiency in Creo.

Work Environment

The work schedule includes three days onsite and two days remote. The role requires a collaborative team environment, leveraging advanced technologies and tools to achieve design and drafting objectives.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
