The Electrical Designer position's accountability includes the design of the electrical and control systems for Kurita America equipment. This position requires designing electrical drawings for Kurita America equipment.

Title: Electrical Designer

Responsibilities
  • Maintain a safe work environment.
  • Develop Electrical Drawings from P&ID's and I/O Lists.
  • Source new components.
  • Review Customer System Specifications and complete Master Project List.
  • Various Panel Shop duties as needed.
  • Some travel required to perform troubleshooting, training and start‑up support.
  • Work with field services to provide electrical support.
  • Work within a budget.
  • Performance of other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Ability to work on multiple projects at once
  • Associate's Degree in Electrical Controls/Electrical Engineering a plus.
  • Ability to create electrical drawings such as single line diagram, electrical architecture, panel drawing
  • Intimately familiar with UL and NEC.
  • Ability to use AutoCAD
  • 2 – 3 years' experience of panel design
  • 2 – 3 years' experience of panel production a plus
  • MTR (Manufacturing Technical Representative) certification a plus
Physical and Mental Requirements
  • Climbing, ascending, and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and industrial equipment, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
  • Reaching and extending hands and arms in any direction.
  • Standing and walking for sustained periods of time.
  • Pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and stooping for sustained periods of time.
  • Using upper extremities to move objects and equipment with steady force.
  • Sometimes working in temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
