Come grow with us! We are looking to hire a Controls Engineer to work in our corporate headquarters located in Brooklyn Park, MN.

As a Controls Engineer you will be accountable for programming PLC/HMI/communication of any Kurita America system. This position requires developing control narratives, I/O lists and electrical schematics and writing PLC/HMI programs based on those documents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment.
• Keep on task to meet deadlines.
• PLC and HMI program development, start‑up and troubleshooting.
• Develop control narratives.
• Develop I/O lists from P&ID’s.
• Review customer system specifications and complete master project list.
• Some travel required to perform troubleshooting, training and start‑up support.
• Work with field services to provide programming support.
• Work within a budget.
• Performance of other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Allen Bradley or Siemens components is a plus.
• Programming background (Siemens experience preferred).
• 2 year controls/electrical Electrical Engineering degree/certificate, BS in Electrical Engineering preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of PLC/HMI programming experience.
• Ability to work independently and in a group setting.

• Climbing, ascending, and descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and industrial equipment, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms.
• Reaching and extending hands and arms in any direction.
• Standing and walking for sustained periods of time.
• Pushing, pulling, lifting, bending, and stooping for sustained periods of time.
• Using upper extremities to move objects and equipment with steady force.
• Sometimes working in temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour.
