Job summary

Talently in Minneapolis, MN is seeking an Electrical Designer to develop electrical and control system designs for water-treatment equipment. This on-site role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable panel designs and robust documentation.

You will create single-line diagrams, panel schematics, and electrical architecture drawings, adhering to UL and NEC standards, while supporting field services and startup activities. Proficiency with AutoCAD is essential.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Electrical Controls or related field.
  • Expertise in creating electrical drawings: single-line diagrams, panel schematics.
  • Knowledge of UL standards and NEC code requirements.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD for electrical design.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a safe work environment while developing electrical drawings from P&IDs and I/O lists.
  • Source and evaluate new components to meet system specifications.
  • Review customer system specifications and complete Master Project Lists.
  • Perform panel shop duties, including panel design and production support.
  • Provide electrical support to field services, including troubleshooting, training, and start-up assistance.
  • Manage project budgets and ensure designs stay within cost parameters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver complete control system solutions.

Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a safe work environment while developing electrical drawings from P&IDs and I/O lists.

Must‑Have Skills:

  • In‑depth knowledge of UL standards and NEC code requirements.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD for electrical design.
  • 2–3 years of experience in panel design.
Nice‑to‑Have Skills:
  • MTR (Manufacturing Technical Representative) certification.
  • Ability to travel for troubleshooting, training, and start‑up support.
  • Physical ability to perform climbing, lifting, and other field tasks as required.
