Job summary

Fresh Consulting in Redmond, WA is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Verification Engineer to validate board-level electrical designs and systems. You will collaborate with HW/SW engineers and help ensure test coverage, traceability, and robust verification across the product lifecycle.

The role requires 5+ years in hardware development, strong C/C++ and embedded skills, and familiarity with power delivery, high-speed signaling, and lab equipment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in hardware development and system bring-up/verification
• Experience with C/C++ and embedded development
• Power delivery, power test, high-speed mixed-signal design, PDN and transmission lines
• UART, MIPI CSI/DSI, I2C and sensors
• Embedded system testing and communication protocols
• Python and LabVIEW development
• Board and system validation and debugging
• Oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power equipment, spectrum and signal analyzers
• Linux/Android familiarity

Hours

Role

• Perform validation/verification of board level electrical design and systems
• Track test coverage, coverage metrics, and bugs encountered
• Create test plans, test procedures, and test results
• Execute, interpret, and report the electrical system level verification work status and results
• Work with HW/SW engineers to automate test data capture and reporting
• Create test scripts and configuration files for testing
• Participate in Design Reviews to influence test measurement, execution and consistency with internal test tool usage
• Support system bring up and debug activities

Qualifications

• EE background with 5+ years of experience as a hardware developer and system bring- up/verification/failure analysis engineer in consumer electronics
• Experience with C/C++ and embedded development
• Working knowledge of power delivery, power test, high-speed mixed-signal design, power distribution network, and transmission line
• Working knowledge of UART, MIPI CSI/DSI, I2C/I3 and sensors
• Working knowledge of embedded system testing and communication protocols
• Python, and LabVIEW development experience
• Board and system level validation and debugging experience
• Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes, DMM, e-load, power supply, power analyzer,spectrum analyzer, signal generator
• Familiar with Linux/Android OS

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with VNA and ENA, logic analyzer, signal analyzer, battery simulator, data acquisition device(DAQ), audio precision analyzer, audio amp measurement filter
• Firmware verification experience
• Experience in System and Subsystem power verification
• Experience in system interoperability, coexistence testing, and performance stress/optimization

Education

BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field

Compensation

Compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Range is $75/hr to $85/hr.
