Job summary

Fresh Consulting in Redmond, WA is seeking a System Test Engineer to maintain quality standards and ensure reliable user experiences across prototypes and production. You will design, implement, and execute tests, collaborate with design engineers, and calibrate crucial modules in a lab and factory setting.

You will support automated tests, CI, and instrument development while working in a fast-paced environment with a design-led team. BS plus hands-on testing experience is required.

Qualifications

• BS in EE, CE or Physical Sciences with 1+ years of technical experience.
• Hands-on background with testing and the design of complex testing systems.
• Excellent understanding of electromechanical assembly processes.
• Capable of Linux and Windows environments.
• Knowledge of sensors (cameras, microphones) and protocols (I2C, SPI, I2S).
• Production control processes, data analysis and interpretation.
• Ability to develop, document and execute tests from design specs.
• Ability to specify test stations, diagnostics and data collection.

Responsibilities

• Design and run experiments to determine system limits.

• Assist in automated tests and CI for the above.
• Work closely with design engineers to ensure equipment and processes meet standards.
• Serve as main contact for calibration, testing, and prototype processes.
• Track, report and resolve bugs with design engineers.
• Perform tasks in factory and lab contexts.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

Preferred Qualifications

MS in EE, CE, Physical Sciences with 3+ years of technical experienceProject management experiences would be a bonusKnowledge in gauge repeatability and reproducibility (GR&R), correlation analysisExperience with synchronization and wireless communication would be a bonusPractical knowledge with LEDs, as well as geometric and photometric calibrationsPractical knowledge with advanced devices and protocols such as FPGA and USBFluent in Python or other scripting languages to help automate testing and reporting
