Kimley-Horn in West Columbia, SC is seeking an Electrical Design Tech to join our MEP team. You will create and quality-check drawings and plans of substantial complexity, and perform some multifaceted calculations to support project delivery.

Day-to-day responsibilities include QA checks, maintaining the drawing database, and potentially supervising CAD staff. The role requires a high school diploma (Associates preferred) and 2+ years of experience with Autodesk or Bentley software.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associates degree preferred.
• 2+ years of relevant experience.
• Proficient with Autodesk or Bentley software.
• Detail oriented with good communication and teamwork.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Create and quality-check drawings and plans of substantial complexity.
• Perform some multifaceted calculations.
• Conduct quality control checks and provide feedback to team members.
• Maintain drawing database.
• May supervise and train CAD staff.
• Familiarize with Kimley-Horn’s practices, procedures, and standards.
