Job summary

ABB Rotterdam Service Center in Rotterdam, NY seeks an Electrical Design/Project Specialist to lead engineering design for power delivery equipment, MCCs, VFDs, and control panels. You will guide a work group, collaborate with customers and service teams, and ensure alignment with ABB standards.

The role requires a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or related experience, strong teamwork, and proficiency with MS Office. Travel may be required and you must be eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field plus 0+ years of experience; or Associate’s degree with 3+ years; or HS diploma with 5+ years of related electrical design experience.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills; ability to work with minimal supervision; good business acumen.
• Proficiency in MS Outlook, Excel, and Word.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering and design for electrical equipment.
• Lead design packages and assist with startup, commissioning, and troubleshooting.
• Collaborate with engineers, technicians, and contractors including project management.
• Plan and supervise design work and direct craft labor when needed.
• Expand technical knowledge and adhere to ABB standards.
