Job summary

DBR seeks an Electrical Design Intern to support power distribution, lighting design, and building systems across Houston, Dallas, and San Antonio. You will work with engineers to develop diagrams, perform code-based analyses, and assist with submittals in a fast-paced team environment.

Ideal candidates are pursuing a Bachelor’s in Architectural Engineering and are eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's in Architectural Engineering.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiar with AutoCAD and Revit.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution diagrams and one-line diagrams.
• Develop interior and exterior lighting plans based on photometric layouts and codes.
• Apply NEC, IECC, ASHRAE, NFPA and IBC standards.
• Calculate electrical service sizes, conductor sizing and derating.
• Review submittals during construction and respond to contractor questions.
