Job summary

RMF Engineering, Inc is currently seeking an Electrical Design Engineer in our South Carolina office. You will contribute to power distribution, lighting design, and low-voltage systems on building and utility projects.

The ideal candidate has a BS in Electrical Engineering, 0–5 years of design experience, and ability to travel domestically and internationally. Proficiency with SKM, Revit, or AutoCAD is a plus; professional registration is welcomed.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 0-5 years design experience with electrical systems.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally.
• Professional registration or ability to obtain professional registration.
• Experience with power system modeling and analysis using SKM is a major plus.
• Ability to obtain government security clearances may be required.

Responsibilities

• Power distribution design including riser diagrams and panel schedules.
• Lighting design including fixture selection and controls.
• Low-voltage systems including fire alarm, security and controls.
• Calculate loads, fault current, and voltage drop.
• Performing field surveys and construction phase support.
