Job summary

RMF Engineering, Inc is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for our South Carolina offices (Charleston, Columbia, Greenville). You will work on power distribution, lighting, and low-voltage systems for building and utility infrastructure projects.

The role requires up to 5 years of design experience, a BS in Electrical Engineering, and the ability to travel. Domestic and international travel may be required; PE registration is a plus.

Qualifications

• 0-5 years design experience with electrical systems
• BS in Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally
• Professional registration or ability to obtain professional registration
• Experience with power system modeling and analysis using SKM is a major plus
• Ability to provide own local transportation to the office and local project sites
• Ability to obtain necessary government security clearances may be required

Responsibilities

• Power distribution design, including riser diagrams and panel schedules
• Lighting design, including fixture selection and controls
• Low-voltage systems including fire alarm, security and controls
• Calculate loads, fault current, and voltage drop
• Performing field surveys and construction phase support
