Job summary

MPI seeks an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support the development of innovative testing equipment used globally. The role is hands-on, focusing on electrical subsystem design, PCB development, and prototyping from concept to production release.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years' experience, strong PCB/analog-digital design capabilities, and a track record in failure analysis and manufacturing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 5+ years of electrical engineering experience; 8+ years preferred.
• Experience with analog and digital circuit design.
• Strong PCB design and prototyping experience.
• Background in custom circuit design.
• Experience performing failure analysis and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on product development and manufacturing experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.
• Experience with three-phase power systems up to 400V is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical subsystems for new and existing products.
• Develop analog and digital circuit designs.
• Design and test PCBs.
• Build, test, and evaluate prototypes.
• Perform failure analysis and root cause investigations.
• Conduct risk assessments and engineering evaluations.
• Generate and manage ECNs.
• Partner with production, purchasing, sales, and marketing teams to support product performance and customer requirements.
• Support projects throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept through production release.
