Job summary

MPI is seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support the development of innovative testing equipment. This hands-on role focuses on electrical subsystem design, PCB development, custom circuit design, prototyping, and guiding products from concept through production release.

Based near Avon, Ohio, the company designs equipment to simulate weathering, UV exposure, and corrosion. You will design subsystems, test PCBs, perform failure analyses, and collaborate with production,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience; 8+ years preferred.
• PCB design and prototyping experience preferred.
• Experience performing failure analysis and troubleshooting.
• Hands-on product development and manufacturing experience.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Detail-oriented with a problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical subsystems for new and existing products.
• Develop analog and digital circuit designs.
• Design and test PCBs.
• Build, test, and evaluate prototypes.
• Perform failure analysis and root cause investigations.
• Conduct risk assessments and engineering evaluations.
• Generate and manage ECNs.
• Partner with production, purchasing, sales, and marketing teams to support product performance and customer requirements.
• Support projects throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept through production release.
