Job summary

ProSource Industries is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for switchgear to design custom low-voltage gear and power distribution equipment for OEMs and industrial use. You will develop electrical designs and documentation that meet customer specs and industry standards, collaborating with cross-functional teams through the full project lifecycle.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in low-voltage switchgear design, knowledge of relevant standards, and experience with CAD tools to produce

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent with related experience.
Minimum five years designing low-voltage switchgear and power distribution equipment.
Experience translating customer specs into manufacturing-ready packages.
Familiar with UL 891, NEC, ANSI, IEEE and NEMA standards.
Experience creating BOMs, schematics, and panel layouts for fabrication.

Responsibilities

Design and develop low-voltage switchgear, switchboards and power distribution equipment.
Create one-line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts.
Develop BOMs, assembly drawings and production documentation.
Ensure designs meet UL, NEC, ANSI, IEEE and customer requirements.
Collaborate with Sales, PM, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Quality teams.
Provide technical support during manufacturing, testing and implementation.
Maintain engineering records and revisions; participate in product improvements.
