Job summary

Schenck USA Corp. seeks an Electrical Design Engineer to design and develop electrical control systems for industrial machinery, including power distribution and PLCs. The role involves creating schematics, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and engineering docs for new and existing products.

You will test, troubleshoot, and validate designs to align with safety standards, support R&D, and coordinate prototype builds with manufacturing. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 5–10 years in electrical panel and power distribution design in manufacturing.
• U.S. Person status required.
• Ability to manage electrical engineering projects under moderate supervision.
• Strong ability to read/write technical documents and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop electrical control systems for industrial machinery, including power distribution, PLCs, drive systems, relays, and automation controls.
• Create and maintain electrical schematics, BOMs, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation for new and existing products.
• Test, troubleshoot, and validate electrical designs to meet performance and safety standards.
• Support R&D by evaluating new technologies and contributing to product improvements.
• Coordinate prototype builds and collaborate with manufacturing teams for fabrication, testing and release.
• Work with vendors, customers and cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues and implement design changes.
• Ensure all designs comply with applicable codes and industry practices.
• Provide technical support to Sales, Applications, Purchasing and Production, including project estimates and troubleshooting.
