Job summary
TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company is seeking an Electrical Engineer to lead design and development across induction motor programs, from concept through validation and production support. You will work under guidance of senior engineers, expanding expertise across multiple product families and engineering disciplines.
The role emphasizes technical analysis, design guideline enhancement, and producing documentation for internal and external use, while supporting sales and customers with engineering
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from a four-year college or university.
- 3–5 years of related engineering work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience with medium- and high-voltage equipment (2.4–13.8 kV) preferred.
- 3–5 years of experience using CAD software, PDM software and simulation software.
- 3–5 years of experience applying industry standards, including: NEMA, IEEE, IEC.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop products following established guidelines and engineering tools (CAD).
- Perform calculations and analyses using closed-form methods, computer applications, and simulation tools.
- Review drawings, BOMs, and documentation for manufacturing, testing, installation, and commissioning.
- Provide technical support to Sales and customers; communicate technical info effectively.
- Assist with new product development: specs, prototypes, validation tests, and documentation.
- Monitor project task execution and ensure on-time delivery; mentor junior engineers.
- Contribute to product and process improvements and technical papers.
