Job summary

TECO-Westinghouse Motor Company seeks an experienced Mechanical Engineer, PE, to review and approve mechanical designs of medium- and low-voltage data center products. You will ensure structural integrity, lifting/rigging, thermal performance, and code compliance while developing standards and providing technical leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5+ years of related work experience.
• PE license in Texas or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Experience with heavy electrical equipment and data center infrastructure is preferred.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD and understanding of structural design, lifting, and thermal analysis.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve 3D models and fabrication drawings for skids, enclosures, and assemblies.
• Verify structural designs, including lifting points, seismic and wind loading, and transportation constraints.
• Evaluate thermal management requirements for enclosed power modules and HVAC interfaces.
• Develop and maintain mechanical design standards and material specifications.
• Provide final mechanical engineering sign-off and support factory builds.
• Collaborate with overseas engineering teams and cross-functional groups while representing TECO-Westinghouse.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, safety procedures, and company policies.
