Job summary

Hammond & Associates is an established MEP consulting engineering firm seeking an Electrical Design Engineer with 5+ years of building systems experience. The role requires familiarity with NEC, codes, and project delivery; Revit is preferred, AutoCAD experience is required.

Based in the Plantation/Miami area, the position focuses on power distribution and lighting design, site evaluation, and coordination with clients and other trades to ensure timely, compliant project execution.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years experience in Building Systems Design.
Experience with NEC, applicable codes, and project delivery expectations.
Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and design principles.
Revit knowledge preferred; AutoCAD experience required.

Responsibilities

Assist the team with developing, designing and planning power distribution and lighting systems.
Conduct site visits to document existing conditions and scope.
Produce load calculations and prepare design deliverables for submissions.
Coordinate with clients, designers, engineers and other trades to meet deadlines.
Support fast-paced project needs and communicate clearly with owners and design teams.
