Job summary

Hammond & Associates in Plantation, FL seeks an Electrical Design Engineer 2 with at least 3 years in Building Systems Design (MEP). Proficiency in Revit or AutoCAD, NEC knowledge, and ability to support fast-paced projects are essential.

The role requires collaboration with clients, other trades and a strong commitment to quality. Bachelor’s degree is required; location is Plantation/Fort Lauderdale area.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of Building Systems Design (MEP) experience.
• Familiarity with NEC codes, regulations and project delivery expectations.
• Working knowledge of Revit and/or AutoCAD is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist the team with developing, designing and planning power distribution and lighting systems.
• Attend kick-off meetings with design team, clients and owner to define scope.
• Conduct site visits and document existing conditions and systems in scope.
• Produce load calculations and ensure design deliverables meet client needs.
• Coordinate with other trades and communicate design issues clearly.
