Job summary

Hammond & Associates is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer 2 with 3+ years of Building Systems Design (MEP) experience. The role focuses on designing power distribution and lighting systems with NEC guidance, using Revit or AutoCAD to deliver accurate design deliverables.

The position is hybrid in the Orlando area, requiring residence in the Orlando, FL region. You will support fast-paced project teams, attend client meetings, and ensure timely delivery while collaborating with other trades.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in Building Systems Design (MEP) with NEC familiarity.
• Experience with Revit preferred and AutoCAD required.
• Hybrid remote in the Orlando area; reside in Orlando, FL.

Responsibilities

• Develop and plan power distribution and lighting systems per specs.
• Conduct site visits to document existing conditions.
• Produce and review design deliverables for submissions.
• Layout, size, and specify required equipment.
• Prepare details and specifications for projects.
• Perform load calculations.
• Attend meetings and communicate with clients to define needs.
• Coordinate with other trades and disciplines.
• Meet deadlines and collaborate with project team.
