Job summary

Astec is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join a world-class hardware and controls software team in the Chattanooga, TN area. You will develop electrical hardware and embedded software interfaces for asphalt, concrete and industrial heating systems, creating modular, reliable designs with safety and manufacturability in mind.

Qualifications

BS in Electrical/Electronic/Computer Engineering from an accredited institution.
Strong knowledge of electrical design principles and standards.
Experience with control systems for industrial equipment.

Responsibilities

Develop electrical hardware designs and schematics for control systems.
Create PCB layouts and junction box designs for panels.
Lead cross-functional electrical design reviews and DFx reviews.
Coordinate with Sales, Manufacturing, Service and Purchasing teams.
Develop and execute bench tests for modules and code units.
