Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced electrical engineer to design building power and lighting systems from concept to construction. You will create calculations, layouts, reports, and narratives while coordinating with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines on MEP projects.

The role includes mentoring junior staff and leading technical efforts. The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with 6–8+ years in engineering consulting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• EIT or PE license desired.
• 6–8+ years of engineering consulting and MEP project experience.
• Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD; knowledge of local codes and sustainability preferred.

Job description

Develop electrical designs for building power and lighting systems from concept through construction, and prepare design calculations, layouts, reports, and narratives. Coordinate with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines, manage MEP projects, and mentor junior staff.

Requirements: Candidates should have a bachelor's or master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering, an EIT or PE license (desired), and 6-8 or more years of engineering consulting and MEP project experience. They should be proficient in Revit and AutoCAD, have experience designing complex building systems, and demonstrate knowledge of local codes, communication skills, and technical leadership; LEED accreditation and sustainable design experience are preferred but not required.
