NR Consultingis currently seeking a highly motivated Electrical Design Engineer for an opportunity in United States – Remote!

Position Title: Electrical Design Engineer

Location: United States – (Remote with travel)

Anticipated Start Date: 10/26/2026.

Salary Range: $90K - $115K/Annum plus benefits

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Engineer to support electrical design and engineering projects under the guidance of senior engineering professionals. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems, electrical design principles, applicable codes, and the ability to manage assigned projects with minimal supervision.

This position may involve interaction with customers, project teams, and other engineering professionals, along with periodic travel to project sites.

Key Responsibilities:

• Travel to project sites as required to support project execution and engineering activities.
• Perform standard electrical calculations and engineering evaluations.
• Assist with electrical equipment selection and application.
• Apply applicable electrical and building codes and industry standards.
• Develop and maintain electrical drawings using AutoCAD and/or Revit.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• 5–7+ years of experience in electrical design and engineering.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Working knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems and applicable codes.
• Experience with electrical calculations and power system studies.
• Strong written, verbal, mathematical, and technical communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is a plus.
• Experience with data center or mission‑critical electrical design is a plus.
• Familiarity with lighting and fire alarm systems is a plus.
