Job summary

ARBOC seeks an Intermediate Engineer with 2–5 years vehicle design experience to support production through design tasks, drawings, and testing. The role requires SolidWorks experience and knowledge of harness design.

You will coordinate with production, QA, and customers, while adhering to ECN processes and documentation standards. The candidate should be capable of working independently and within a team, with good communication skills and initiative.

Qualifications

• SolidWorks or equivalent 3D CAD modeling software.
• Zuken Wire Harness Design is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Complete Engineering design tasks and projects assignments which support production activities.
• Coordinates own tasks to ensure schedule and dates are met considering vendor and production lead times.
• Creates Engineering designs that meet customer specifications, Technical Summaries, other contracts documents and ensure designs are within manufacturing abilities.
• Works with engineers to develop drawing packages and layouts to ensure compliance with design criteria.
• Assist engineers with completion of and or initiates-controlled testing of components and installations to meet contractual obligations, ensure product reliability and verify component fit.
• Completes Technical Engineering drawings and release documents in accordance with Engineering procedures and ECNs - Engineering Change Notices.
• Provide Engineering support to Production, Quality Assurance, Customer Service Support, and other departments as needed.
• Interacts with vendors and customers on design related issues. Ensures that, where applicable, there are documents of vendor approval on new installations or applications.
• Check Engineering documents as authorized by Engineering Manager.
• Any other duties as necessary
