Qualifications

- Strong knowledge of building electrical systems.
- Familiarity with architectural design concepts and building codes.
- Post-secondary education in engineering.
- 4–7 years in building electrical projects.
- Registration with a professional engineering association is an asset.
Responsibilities
- Designs components of building electrical systems within project constraints.
- Produces drawings and specifications for construction projects.
- Performs calculations, code research, and material/system investigations.
- Documents site conditions and coordinates with disciplines through all project phases.
- Writes engineering specifications for project manuals and reviews shop drawings.
