Job summary
PEC seeks a Design Engineer in Fort Collins to design on multiple projects using BIM/CAD tools and perform engineering calculations. You will prepare deliverables while upholding PEC’s standards of excellence and collaborate with internal and external teams.
The role requires a Bachelor’s degree from an ABET-accredited program and experience with electrical system design, code interpretation, and associated software tools. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
Qualifications
- ABET-accredited Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field.
- Ability to interpret codes, regulations, and design electrical systems.
- Experience with BIM/CAD software and engineering calculations.
Responsibilities
- Design engineering for multiple projects and coordinate with teams.
- Review submittals, site investigations, and RFIs under supervision.
- Perform hand and software-based design and takeoff calculations.
- Organize projects and files per PEC standards and workflows.
- Communicate effectively with the design team to complete tasks.
- Contribute to various projects and adapt to additional duties.
