Responsibilities

  • Develop and design electrical systems for healthcare environments.
  • Create and update Revit models, ensuring integration with architectural documents.
  • Perform detailed electrical load calculations for reliability and efficiency.
  • Draft drawings and contract documents for power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and controls.
  • Generate redlines, narratives, and reports to document project progress.
  • Conduct QA/QC reviews of designs per industry standards.
  • Prepare project schedules and cost estimates with suppliers.
  • Oversee construction phases by providing technical guidance and inspections.

Our client, a leader in providing engineering solutions, is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team on a remote basis. This role focuses on designing and developing electrical systems for healthcare projects..

The Senior Electrical Engineer's role will involve.
  • Develop and design electrical systems tailored for healthcare environments.
  • Create and update Revit models, ensuring seamless integration with other disciplines in architectural documents.
  • Perform detailed electrical load calculations to support system reliability and efficiency.
  • Draft precise drawings and contract documents for power distribution, lighting, fire alarms, and controls.
  • Generate redlines, technical narratives, and comprehensive reports to document project progress.
  • Conduct QA/QC reviews of designs, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project specifications.
  • Prepare project schedules and cost estimates, coordinating with suppliers to align on requirements.
  • Oversee construction phases by providing technical guidance and performing electrical inspections.
The Electrical Engineer will ideally have the following attributes:
  • Expertise in Revit and AutoCAD.
  • Strong understanding of:
  • Power distribution and industry best practices.
  • Applicable codes and standards (e.g., IEC, NFPA, DA, IBC).
  • Regulatory requirements and AHJ processes, including OSHPD and JCAHO compliance.
  • Familiarity with energy efficiency, lighting design, and renewable energy systems like solar.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
  • Flexibility to travel as needed to support project requirements.
