Base pay range

$80,000.00/yr - $120,000.00/yr

Senior Consultant - Critical Power | USA

Design next-generation power conversion systems for mission-critical environments. You’ll engineer AC/DC and DC/DC solutions that support defense, aerospace, industrial, and demanding commercial applications.

  • Develop high-reliability power supplies, inverters, and UPS systems built to perform in extreme conditions.
  • Own the full lifecycle of custom power products where precision, durability, and innovation drive every decision.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to bring new designs from concept and prototype into full-scale production.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop switch-mode power supplies (SMPS), power converters, and related power management systems.
  • Create schematics, PCB layouts, and component selections for new and existing designs.
  • Test, validate, and debug power circuits using oscilloscopes, electronic loads, thermal chambers, and other lab equipment.
  • Collaborate with sales and applications engineering to translate customer requirements into technical solutions.
  • Lead failure analysis, troubleshoot issues to the component level, and drive design improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards, industry regulations, and military/aerospace specifications.
  • Coordinate with mechanical, documentation, and manufacturing teams to release production-ready designs.
  • Prepare technical reports, test procedures, and user documentation.
Requirements
  • 3–7+ years of hands‑on experience designing AC/DC and DC/DC power supplies.
  • Ability to analyze, test, and troubleshoot power circuits down to the component level.
  • Experience with EMI/EMC mitigation or testing is a significant plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Comfort working cross-functionally and communicating complex technical concepts clearly.
