Job summary

Jobot is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer EIT/PE for a hybrid role in Charlotte, NC. The candidate will develop electrical designs for complex building projects, using AutoCAD and Revit, with 5-8+ years in MEP consulting and PE encouragement.

The role emphasizes mentoring junior staff, coordinating with cross-disciplinary teams, and delivering compliant, well-documented design packages for institutional and commercial facilities.

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Electrical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• EIT Required, PE License Desired.
• 5-8+ years of experience in designing and managing MEP Projects.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit Software.
• Proven experience designing power and lighting building systems on complex projects.
• Develop electrical designs from concept through completion of construction.
• Prepare engineering design calculations and layouts.
• Prepare detailed engineering reports and narratives.
• Coordinate electrical design requirements with architecture, mechanical, and other disciplines.
• Experience with Educational, Healthcare, Hospitality, Mixed-Use, Multi-Family, and Civic/Institutional/Municipal Projects.
• Ability to mentor junior level staff.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated familiarity with Local Building Codes & Standards.
• Strong technical leadership and management skills.

Responsibilities

Electrical Design Engineer EIT/PE (Hybrid)

We are seeking Electrical Engineer to join our Team. Successful candidates will 5-8+ years of Engineering Consulting experience. Ideal candidates will have experience with engineering consulting firms, electrical power, lighting, fire alarm, and building systems for institutional and commercial buildings, as well as proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD.
