The Electrical Design Engineer is responsible for producing construction documents from initial design to bidding under the supervision of a senior engineer. Responsibilities include developing electrical wiring diagrams, device layouts, and panel layouts. The engineer will compile specifications as part of the design packet. Effective cross-functional communication is necessary to gain project support and ensure schedule compliance. The engineer will collaborate with material-handling vendors, conveyor manufacturers, electrical control manufacturers, and consultants to ensure compliance with UPS standards and safety regulations. The final project should incorporate the latest engineering technologies to deliver efficient and cost-effective solutions in the material-handling industry.
